As Quiet As It’s Kept (AQAIK)

A Mini Documentary

As Quiet As It's Kept: A Mini Documentary

created by Pia Monique Murray, Cultural Producer

This mini documentary captures many of the voices and faces that participated in the development of "As Quiet As It's Kept." Featuring personal stories and interviews by local Black veterans of war, longtime residents of Bedford Stuyvesant, the project's curator and partnering artists, all captured with cell phones, this mini documentary uses a rustic approach to highlight the community behind the project in a beautifully simple and raw way.

In 2020-21 we will be premiering the next phase of AQAIK and delving deeper into ideas of home, community, identity and honor and how they shape a rapidly changing neighborhood.
